Seeking to customize her storage options in her home office while being sensitive to the focal point of the desk wall from her main living area, this client chose a striking and light desk made to fit perfectly in her space. With the help of Jayne Bunce Interiors who designed the desk and pulled the entire room together, we engineered the cabinets with Premier Custom-Built Cabinets for a unique, functional and beautiful design solution for our client. While traditional Japanese soaking tubs are usually made of cedar,black granite was chosen for this tub. Having a Port Orford cedar wooden frame, the bather can still enjoy the fragrant aroma of a cedar tub. Black pebbles serve as a design element harmonizing with the granite and wood.

Our client has a large collection of bonsai trees and wanted an exhibition space for the extensive collection and a workshop to tend to the growing plants. Together we came up with a plan for a beautiful garden with plenty of space and a water feature. The design also included a Japanese-influenced pavilion in the middle of the garden. The pavilion is comprised of three separate rooms. The first room is features a tokonoma, a small recessed space to display art. The second, and largest room, provides an open area for display. The room can be accessed by large glass folding doors and has plenty of natural light filtering through the skylights above. The third room is a workspace with tool storage. Vines now cascade down the stucco retaining wall from ipe-faced planters and irises fill in behind the water channel. Lilies and lotuses fill the upper and lower pools.
